Every Last One

Every Last One

by Anna Quindlen

Teresa Joel: I have always been a fan of Anna Quindlen because I always take away a life lesson from her writing. Her latest book is about all of us a mother, a wife, a career woman who juggles her daily life through raising three children, driving carpool, making dinner, and running a small business. The main character, Mary Beth, loves and worries about her children, loves and supports her husband, visits with her friends at soccer games, and has settled into her upper class lifestyle. One night her whole world turns upside down in a heart beat. Mary Beth has to face the things we fear most, and we learn how she is brave enough to live a life she never dreamed she'd have to live. After reading this book, I am thankful every day for the small blessings in my life.
