This slim volume packs a powerful punch. Contained in these pages are great characterizations,
embedded in a wonderful story. Classic themes of love, family relationships,
irony and redemption, provided stimulating conversation in our group.
Two of our members who are notorious for never finishing the selection,
completed the book with ease. Their comment at our meeting was, "I didn't want it to end." Ms Newell's first novel is engaging. It made me laugh and it made me cry. I look forward to her next book.
