Linda Smither (08/27/16): After reading The Royal Nanny, I simply HAD to know more about the Romanovs. The Tsar Nichols was first Cousin to King George V and mentioned in The Royal Nanny. This was a excellent, very readable non-fiction about the decline of Imperialism Russia from an insiders prospective. The book gives a glimpse inside the life of immense wealth and privilege and also into that of a common peasant. I learned about the overthrow of the Tsar by the Interim Government, then about their overthrow by Lenin. How did I miss all this history? Very fascinating...
