The Good Daughter

The Good Daughter

by Jane Porter

Laura Hall (01/13/14): I have never read anything by this author before, but I highly enjoyed her quick changes about and within the character's emotion. When a character would go through a hard, sad time, it would not leave you with a depressed feeling for too long before switching to a happier moment. This has several troubling plots from the character's mom slowly dying of cancer and enjoying the importance of family time within that. While the character is facing her mom's death, she is also faced with a student of hers dealing with abuse in the home to her own mom which pulls your heart threads and makes you question what you would do in the situation as well as thankful for friends and family members you do have in your life.
