Thorn Woods

Thorn Woods

by Ariel Godwin

Pamela A. (11/27/12): Thorn Woods takes place in 1918 during Tennessee's prohibition period. The setting is the deep mountain regions, where a family of four brothers lives, along with an assortment of neighbors, some of which are murderous moonshiners, most notably an old man named Spook. Spook has lost a deal with the son of a corrupt Sheriff, and for payment, he sets out to trade his gorgeous step-daughter instead of money, but one of the four brothers has already seen her and wants her for himself. Untangling her from this bunch's grasp will be near impossible, and it will take some "outsiders", people more evil and powerful, to come in and stir up the bee hive so that they can make their escape.
